Time Stopper Mod allows you to pause time for a brief period. This mod will freeze all the mobs for few seconds and can also prevent the creeper from blowing up when used.
Installation:

• Download and run the latest version of Minecraft Forge API
• Go to Start Menu > Type %appdata%/.minecraft/mods
• Download the mod
• Move the downloaded Jar (zip) file into the “mods” folder
